                        Footnotes:

                        1. If "date out" is April 9, 1865, indicates individual is listed in the Parole List at Appomattox.
                        2. If "date out" is February, 1865, indicates Present and Accounted for through that date.
                        3. Rank listed is highest indicated from any reference.
                        4. dfw = died from wounds
                        5. Hollywood Cemetery lists "Marcus" Fulbright as having died Jul 12, 1864, not "Maxwell", contrary to "North Carolina Troops 1861-1865 A Roster,  Volume I, Artillery"
                        6. There is a J. C. Kibheart listed in the North Carolina Troops 1861-1865, Vol. I as died 2/19/1864 and buried at Hollywood Cemetery. The cemetery records list James C. Kilpatrick,  died same date from 1st Reg Co. C. but listed no "Kibheart". We have chosen to list the name as "Kilpatrick". This has also been seen listing as "H. Killheart" died same date.
                        7. Hollywood Cemetery lists J. B. (not T. B.) Rodden buried there and having died same day as T. B. (we assume this to be the same person)
                        8. Cypress Hills National Cemetery lists a "Francis Cartland" buried there having died 5/28/65 and belonging to Co. C 10th NC (we assume this to be the same person)
                        9. Robert E. Sloan enjoys burial recognition at 2 places, Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, Va. and Steele Creek Presbyterian Church, Charlotte NC.
                        10.  Listed in Gordonsvilles's Maplewood Cemetery List as "Peter Kornight ,Graham's Battery" (NC)". Being with Graham's Battery and date death consistent with other records.
                        11. Listed as W. M. Moffett at Blandford Cemetery, death date same as military records, location consistent with unit location.
                        12. Having researched all the historical information at our disposal we have concluded that the Henry Buff identified on the headstone is actually from Co. C, 10th NCST. We welcome clarification from others.
